Under-inflated tyres drag at the fuel pump, run hot at speed and wear the outer edges; over-inflated tyres lose grip and scrub the centre of the tread. Setting all four to the manufacturer figure is free here, and it improves economy, handling and tyre life in one go.
We scan the tyre pressure monitoring system, check every tyre against the correct figures and reset the warning when that is all it needs. If a wheel sensor is failing it shows up on the scan, and we will tell you before we replace anything.
It usually means one or more tyres are significantly under-inflated, though a failing sensor battery can also be to blame. We will diagnose it free at the depot.
